DJ Funky Flirt is known as one of the veterans of DnB and has been there right from the early days of the rave scene, still being as relevant today as he was back then. He gained the name Funky Flirt from an ex girlfriend for obvious reasons although now the only flirting he does is with his tunes and trusty decks.
Like many of the other pioneers in the scene his musical roots started in the 80's reggae era where he spent many hours studying the various different sound systems. This love of dancehall reggae music inspired him to set up his own sound system called 'Champagne Sound' at the tender age of 18 which cemented his love of DJing and prepared him for the many musical successes he achieved in the years that followed.
Crossing over into the world of Drum & Bass followed easily after he was encouraged to attend a number of the early groundbreaking raves of the era by friends. He partied at the likes of Biology, Sunrise and Clapham Common and was inspired by a number of DJ's at
