I've been a professional musician for 48 yrs & counting. I attended Arizona State University & played in the marching & concert bands. I toured with Dyke & The Blazers & the Odd Squad, backed Candi Staton, Esther Phillips, Ernie Andrews, Joe Turner, Linda Hopkins, Ted Taylor, Harmonica Fats, Lou Rawls, Jean Knight & numerous other artist. Recorded with the Mizell brothers, Banks & Hampton, Formula 5, Ike & Tina Turner, Rene Moore, HB Barnum, & many others. Currently the drummer/vocalist for Denver band Buckner FunkenJazz. I worked with many world class musicians like James Jamerson & James Jamerson, Jr., Ricky Taylor, Wayne Linsey, Gip Noble, Wali Ali, Mike Thompson & Mitch Manker to name a few. I've done shows with Gladys Knight & the Pips, The Dells, The Intruders, Joe Simon, The Meters, The Chi Lites, The Whispers & many others. The late Gene & Eunice are my uncle & Aunt and the late Willie Davis, center fielder for the LA Dodgers, is my brother.
