Pete J aka Toki was a familiar name in the midwest rave and club scene throughout the 90’s and early 00’s. In 1997, Pete a) opened Virus Records in St. Louis, MO. During this time, Pete played at many of the city's top nightclubs - Club Velvet, Cheetah Nightclub, etc. while opening for artists such as Bad Boy Bill (3x), James Christian (Nervous Records), Teri Bristol, Frankie Bones, and more.. He was also a regular on the midwest rave circuit making regular appearances in cities like Chicago, Kansas City, Indianapolis, In 2007, Pete moved to Seoul, South Korea and established Momentum Seoul, a group responsible for create a string of successful events in Seoul. Pete's DJing style incorporates relentless energy, technical mixing, slick transitions and old-school turntablist elements such as scratching and mixing tricks while playing a blend of bumping house beats and funky techno.
