Todd started his on-air and production experience at 91.9 FM, KSPB, Pebble Beach, CA, the highest-powered high school radio station in the U.S. at the time (1,000 watts). He was a music DJ there from his sophomore through senior year. After graduating, Todd co-hosted a weekly music show on 90.3 FM KAZU, Pacific Grove – community radio for the Monterey Peninsula. Todd went on to host a music show on 90.3 FM, KUSF San Francisco from 1987 to 1991 while majoring in Radio and TV at San Francisco State University. KUSF was credited with giving early exposure to U2, R.E.M., The B-52s, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Soundgarden, and many other bands. KUSF won four College Station of the Year awards from the radio trade publication Gavin Report and one from The College Media Journal. Todd is thrilled to be back on the air and loves the free-form college and community radio sound focusing on indie music of all genres. Todd holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in radio and television from SFSU.
