Tintim is the latest manifestation of author and multimedia performance artist Tim Jones-Yelvington (TJY), a gender deviant drag diva dead-set on becoming a legendary creature of the night. Birthed from a mixture of pond scum and holy water, then given her name by the amazing Ruby Dee, Tintim exists in the syncope (look it up!) between midnight and morning, between gutter trash and the elegance of the 1%. Her style icons are Disney villainesses, the Misfits from Jem & the Holograms, and soap opera schemers with immense lapels. She likes to sing and dance, make her own DIY pop songs in garageband, and is learning to do that thing where you mouth the lyrics to other people's songs. She's got omnivorous taste, but is an especially big fan of classic chicago house, latin freestyle, new jack swing and other wonders of 1980's and early 90's dance and/or pop.
