XZMPT (Real name Tim James) is a house music producer and DJ from Hull, UK also to be found often in Ibiza. Tim DJs and produces under the name 'XZMPT' which is pronouced 'Exempt' and means 'free from rules' so expect house music in different styles, mostly funky tech house but with a touch of disco and classic house added in for good measure.

Tim had a sucessful career in the pop industry, playing in bands, theatre shows etc as well as doing live sound and production. He came to house music late in life but brings a lifetime of musical influences and ideas to his tracks.

Tim is head honcho of a label called 'Only The Finest) and runs a studio from home in Hull. He's been a resident at The Old School House (TOSH) in Hull and regularly plays for Hull’s legendary house music brand Deja Vu.

Tim is also one half of a house music duo called 'NorthSouthDivide' along with Phil Nicholson (SouthCoasters) from Brighton.
