As the son of a professional flamenco singer, Thomas has always been surrounded by music. Exposure to flamenco influenced him because it has a dynamic range of emotions—from the "deep singing" style of cante hondo, to the more lively alegrias. For 10 years he also worked in corporate, independent, and online music retail. At one point he was a Content Manager for the Electronic Music genre at MP3.com, where he screened over 500 songs per day. Exposure to a wide range of music explains the range of genres in his mixes—he uses whatever carries the mood. From listening to Umm Kulthum's "Enta Omri" in his childhood, New Wave music as an adolescent, and Industrial music as a teen, it became difficult for him to stick to one sound, as can be witnessed in a quick sampling of his recorded mixes.
