GWG&CO. is a record label originally from the bay area of Palo Alto, CA. started by guitarist Grant Gilbrecht when he and bassist Mike Schmeidt and drummer David Perry started the band Vintage Urban Nothing. they made thier first album in 1987 and a second album in 1989 and added vocalist Charlie Borlow. In 1990 Urban Nothing an evolved version of the Original band got into a serious auto accident on interstate 5 while traveling north to some gigs in the northwest area. the driver Grant Gilbrecht had to be airlifted to Enloe Hospital on august 17 1990. Since then Grant Gilbrecht relocated to Port Angeles, Wa.
