Jay Daniel, or also known as Thee Jay, hails from Durban South Africa and specializes in a genre, which he calls psy-gressive. Psy-gressive is a mixture between the crisp, powerful progressive bass sound of trance music and the weird and unique noises of psychedelic trance. Filled with wobbly baselines and interesting soundscapes that make use of strange sounds as well as instrumental influences.
Thee Jay has a wide range of moods and energies for the dance floor. He has made a name for himself as a trance DJ over six years in the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal areas of South Africa by playing at various outdoor festivals and is a Liquid Hive OG from 2016.
There are many dj’s but there is only one Thee Jay, so come and have your ears melted with the unique sounds of Psy-gressive and experience a new view of music that can range from Techno to Progressive to Full-on, and everything in-between!
