Jörg Smit aka "The Bassrider" was born in 1986 in Coesfeld / Germany. Even as a child he was fascinated by electronic music.
Through its Dutch roots and his cusin he came in contact with "Gabber" music in 1996 and he knows that Hardcore music is´nt a short flirt!
In 1999, he came in first contact with turntables and started his first attempts!
He had a lot of contacts to friends, dj's and organizers in the hardcore scene so that he got his first gig at a club party in 2004.
He became quickly many new bookings on large and small events.
From 2004 till now, he had a lot of bookings in Germany and around (Holland, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, France, Italy and Ukraine).
In 2007, he began with the first own productions. It took some time to experiment and create his own style! He tried a lot of styles, from
Hardtechno till Terror. And now it´s still "Bassicore" it stands for Hard, Dark and often Fast Music with Industrial influence!
