"The Big G" was forged in the heart of stormy Scotland, where the underground pulse of late-80s and early-90s dance music shaped my earliest musical journey. As a teenager, I was producing raw techno on a four-track recorder, just as electronic music was breaking into the mainstream.

Over time, my tastes expanded into rock and metal. I picked up the bass guitar and spent years on stage with bands that brought serious energy — even if they're yet to be famous!

Now based in New Zealand, I’ve been DJing for over a decade — blending my deep roots in techno, house, and EDM with a lifetime of musical influence. Existing projects such as the Cakemix Sessions are a series of high-energy mixes that blend the best of today's electronic scene with unforgettable bangers from the past.
