Never afraid to go too deep, her emotive musical selections are her own therapy. Having grown up on her father’s eclectic combination of Afro-Cuban mambo and conga, funk & jazz , synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with her own love for both disco and afro music , Tanya ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where she picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that she loves best: beautiful strong rhythmic grooves interlocking occasional vocal hooks and richly colored extended chords.
