Sue has is now collaborating with Andy Wall, an accomplished bass player and his trio, to move onto the jazz circuit.
They are performing songs of the First Lady of Jazz, Ella Fitzgerald within her Verve Recording years (1956-1966) which seemed natural progression for Sue, as these recordings are written by some of the greatest composers such as Cole Porter and Sondeim, and Ella’s arrangements of these songs suit Sue’s vocal clarity perfectly.
Sue and Andy have also included in their repertoire a range of jazz and blues standards including songs of Nina Simone, Natalie Cole, Etta James as well as more eclectic songs and arrangements which aren’t familiarly heard on the jazz circuit.
