Stripped-down grooves to built-up beats... all emanating from as many decks, controllers, laptops and samplers as I can squeeze into the DJ booth.

3 things fascinate me: rhythm, technology and people.

Anyone who doesn't truly get rhythm doesn't truly get dance music. It's all about that groove which you'd love to throw your stuff to for hours on end because it just feels nice. I've taken it upon myself to inject that edge back into dance music with a huge subwoofer-shaped syringe.

I also need to know how the world around me works. In a musical context, this means understanding how every bit of kit I can get my hands on operates, right down to the circuit boards. Or more importantly, how I can make it do exactly what I want.

People are the most fascinating of all. In the 12+ years I've been DJing, I've seen some amazing things and it's all taught me about how different people like to enjoy themselves.

The future is understanding, creating and getting stuck in!
