Dj Spaceraida : The pickled onion avenger.
I've had a love for this culture since back in '84 (a little 9 year old breaker at primary school) Never left the house without my little tape deck!
Towards the late 80's was when it really kicked in for me (the first golden era). Public Enemy were the first crew to really blow me away, then De La came along with 3 feet high in the summer of '89 and cemented for me one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
Now for me it's all about the Dj's : Shadow, Z trip, Q bert, Craze. Cut Chemist, Fatlac3 to name a few.
I think my love for this culture is going back to the old school (hate to use the phrase!) People say the cultures dying, i beg to differ! check out the aussie hip hop scene: obese crew and the certified wise, leading the way!
For me there's nothing like stickin some records on and entertaining a crowd.
Nothing beats a musty old record shop, getting your hands dirty, and finding that hidden gem at the back of the stack
