The Dead Beats is the original music and remix project of 'Siva de Ferrera. It grew out of a deep love of Hip Hop, House Music and slow, dreamy, downtempo and psychedelic beats. With this project, I am attempting to mix genres in an eclectic way. I am very interested in combing the sounds of genres such as; House, Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Miami Bass, and similar sounds and moods of bands like early My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Psychic TV, and Portishead. When I refer to MLWTTKKK, I am especially found of their dark, occultic, slower songs. The ones that were less disco and more devil. I'm fond of sympathetic refrains, creeping vibes, and beats you can pop n' lock to.
