'Pick Pocket in many ways is a good display of Simon's choice of sound, while at times preferring to purposely lean back 1/4 offbeat, slightly uneven, just enough to funk with it.
So much of his sessions has a childlike, playful quality: the beats run away, aware, letting it all get ahead of itself, fall over, get back up, dust off, and all start running again at full speed.
