MIke Rascon, or better known as Shink, grew up on the outskirts of Denver and became introduced to dance music during the late 90's rave scene. After a brief introduction to jungle and drum & bass and the chance to touch some turntables in late 00 Shink began playing on the regular. Much of his earlier sounds were influenced from breaks and broken beats which earned him many appearances on the once highly active internet radio show Eternal Beats based out of Las Vegas. Now after a short hiatus Shink has returned with a refined sound in the deeper genres with many influences stemming from Bonobo, rjd2, Katie B, Baths to name a few. Shink currently holds a monthly residency with Panic Room at NORAD Dance Bar 821 22nd Street Denver on the last Wednesday of every month.
