Sherif abdalla was born in Alexandria, Egypt where he lived and played music until age 11. His first instrument, an Arabic Drum, was gifted to him from an older friend when Sherif was only 6 years old. By age 9, Sherif was playing the Arabic Drum in groups and with school friends for small audiences. Although he had never had a drum lesson, Sherif became a talented self-taught prodigy with his instrument.
Sherif moved to Tampa with his family at age 11 and began to evolve deeper into his love of music. He was influenced by the local DJ's who played in Ybor City especially Prana and the Ampitheater. By age 14 Sherif had a stringent schedule that began with school, then work after school followed by the night hours in the clubs. His first paying DJ job was at age 15, at Hyde Park Cafe on Wednesday night. Following his first gig in South Tampa, he moved to Bahasa, where he met his mentor, Pedro Muniz.
