My 1st love of music is late 50s and 60s. In particular 50s/early 60s R&B, Boogaloo, 60s girl groups and Northern Soul especially the stompers.
I used to play my parents records in my room as a bairn, back then it was on a stacking system ... keep record arm out and it would stay on repeat!
Moving on in years, when I started high school and going out more, I discovered a lot of the music I loved came under the umbrella ‘Northern Soul’ and this was where my love of NS started and has never left me.
However, I do like a lot of more recent artists including the late and fantastic voice of Amy Winehouse; Paloma Faith and Sharleen Spiteri to name a few ... also bands like Goodbye Mr Mackenzie and Stone Roses!
Nothing beats tuning into these amazing mixes and chilling, so thank you!
