No major labels, no millions and billions backing them, these are all artists who are doing things their way and in most cases backing themselves on their own.

Independent musicians are the true creative life source of the music industry, untainted by corporate meddling. I think it's imperative that they be supported and spotlighted when possible, so they can become even more well known and they can reap the success that comes from their hard work.
