Sean Johnson has been behind the decks for nearly four decades, starting out in the late 80s playing soul, funk, disco and house — roots that still run through everything he plays today.
Through the early 90s, he was a regular at some of the seminal raves and club nights of the East of England, warming up for the likes of Paul 'Trouble' Anderson, Norman Jay, CJ Mackintosh and Matt 'Jam' Lamont, championing the US-influenced house 'n' garage sound of the era.
As the 90s came to a close, his style evolved into a deeper, chunkier underground sound. In 2001 he founded the DizzyFunk Sound System, throwing outdoor free parties and club nights with regular guests from the legendary Smokescreen and DiY sound systems, including Inland Knights, Digs & Whoosh and Simon DK.
Today, Sean has returned to his roots as he delivers an authentic deep and soulful garage house sound that's firmly rooted in that classic early 90s vibe.
