Once a staple in the the Honolulu underground, Sam Champagne now resides in Washington state. He is the founder of the art, science, and music collective, The Purple Room, known throughout Hawai’i for exquisite parties and the creation of their own custom sound system and solar generators. Sam also curates his own production company, Champagne Presents, which has brought talent from around the globe to Honolulu. He has also held residencies at Honolulu parties: Centered, Fourth on the Floor, and Other Worldly, and was a regular at venues such as Asylum, Hawaiian Brian’s and Ong King. For several years he hosted the electronic radio show, The Recovery on Honolulu’s KTUH 90.1 FM. Sam has played shows throughout Hawaii, the US West Coast, and in southeast Asia including Jai Thep Festival in Thailand. Sam has played alongside many prominent artists including Andreas Henneberg, Bebetta, Djuma Soundsystem, Agent!, Sydney Blu, and more.
