I am in my 50's and my musical journey started with the first record I brought: Man Parris, Hip hop, Be Bop, earlier electro I guess which from memory quick evolved to Run DMC, Eric B, Big Day Kane. and later with the likes of Biggie, Snoop etc
This lend me to digging for the breaks, JB's, Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd to name a few, simultaneously as well as flirting with Acid Jazz.
My love for Soulful, Funky, Afro House came from a visit to MOS circa 1996 when I saw Barbara Tucker live PA, Mind blown! - This is and has been since then my dominate genre!
