I took the name Rob's Brother in respect to my brother Rob's influence and guidance in my musical taste growing up and because he is best friends with King Britt who would always greet me with "Yo, you're Rob's brother right?" when shopping at Tower Records way back when.

My first gig was when King put me on at his legendary Back To Basics night at Silk City with Dozia Blakey placing me in the same rarefied air as Rich Medina and Questlove who also played some of their earliest sets there.
