Music is life. Life is full of music. My Dad played saxophone and sang in his own Big Band in the thirties and the war ended that period but never stopped him from loving and listening. That love and a Victrola and a pile of records kept it alive at home forever.
Growing up listening to Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Nat King Cole and Bessie Smith, Bix Biderbeck, Lena Horn and many to mention awoke the fifties and rock and roll.
Forty-Five RPM records were all over the house and the 78's and then 33 1/3's. From Telstar and Wipe Out to I Wanna Hold Your Hand... Satisfaction was listening always.
AM Radio in NYC, Murray The K, Cousin Brucie, WMCA, WABC, then WNEW-FM, WPLJ... from the English Invasion and Surf's Up to LA Whiskey A Go Go and Jim Morrison and The Doors... A Summer Of Love... Woodstock... decades of music... making an indelible mark on a heart, mind and soul. Then 14 years FM Radio... a DJ... Music Director... Program Director... Music is... life.
