Robert Dunn grew up in a family that pissed him off and he became a psychedelic hippy and started learning the guitar which he plays as though he's angst ridden and pissed off. He learned jazz from saxophone players like Charlie Parker then moved into avantgarde and free jazz and excessive shredding. This rendered him unemployed but became a software developer to pay the bills.
