Rikki Brest

Rikki Brest is a proudly South-African multi-talented artist, with an amazing repertoire of skills covering the entertainment industry.

At 5 years old, Rikki started dancing. She focused on Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Funk and hip-hop. Later choreographing for shows as well as performing in many, Rikki qualified as a contemporary dancing teacher in 2004.

In 1998 Rikki started playing drums, took it as a subject at school, and went on to get a distinction in her Matric year for the subject.

After school, Rikki went to study Sound Engineering and Music Performance at COPA (Campus of Performing Arts) majoring in Drums, while also lecturing ‘Stage Craft’. It was here that Rikki co-founded ‘Chix with Stix’. An all-girl percussion trio that performed together for 9 years in the industry. Rikki has played drums for many prestigious bands, and toured the country with some of the top musicians in SA.

Rikki went on to study a BCom Marketing degree, after which she worked as Operations Manager
