Louis Smit is an old school 80's DJ who grew up on the East Rand Of Johannesburg, South Africa. As a youngster during the early 80's started doing Mobile Disco as a hobby and for the love of music.
Started out with Humble beginnings with 2 Picthed controlled turntables which were matched and good enough for Mixing, A Phonic 4 Channel Mixer, Phonic 400 Watt Amp with a suited speaker drive-train. Started doing gigs @ School dances and DJ'd the way up to popularity throughout the late 80's as a National Serviceman and parttime DJ.
Louis's discipline remained 80's however the 90's did have some influence on his style as a DJ. Being abroad in Europe for the latter half of the 90's on contract with his career as Aircraft Engineer he was exposed to the European style of DJing. This had loads of influence going forward.
During the 80's and still remains active with his own Mobile Disco - Retro Tunez Mobile Disco in the Eastern Cape - South Africa
