RICK ROCK DEEJAY BIOGRAPHY

Rick grew up in Northern California, Born and raised in Salinas and started the career in San Jose / San Fran. Coming from a family of music lovers, the house was always filled with a variety of classic rock, rhythm and blues throughout his childhood.

Originally an indie kid, he started travelling to gigs in Bay Area as soon as he could. The music scenes of the Bay left a deep impression on Rock and his record collection. Influenced by his urban music producing friends in the Bay, he developed a love for that freestyle and hip hop dance movement.

Moving to San Jose for a year in 1991, his eyes were opened even wider to the joys of underground dance music. He moved to the bay permanently in 1992 to immerse himself in the music scene, clubbing every weekend and hanging out in record shops and radio station heads.
