Rich is an electronic music obsessive who got drawn into the rave scene of the early 90s, DJ'ing Hardcore and Jungle music in his teens. Over the years he's been involved with various events in and around London and Oxford playing an eclectic mix of House, Breaks, Bass and Tech, always playing to the crowd and adapting his style on the fly. He also produces music under various aliases, notably Vital Substance which started out as a Nu-Skool Breaks project in the mid 00's, but more recently producing ethereal progressive beats and breaks under his Captive State alias from his south coast studio with a sea view.
