Richard Anthony Bean has been composing music since the early 1990s. Trained in classical piano he went on to study music and sound recording at Kingston University, London.

Richard’s largely instrumental music is inspired by many artists including Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Enigma and Tangerine Dream. In addition Richard grew up in a family listening to rock groups like Pink Floyd, Genesis and Yes leading to a very eclectic taste in music.

Richard’s solo work includes music written for Simon Drake’s House of Magic in addition to music for dance and magical performers including Britain's Got Talent runner up Marc Spelmann. A mixture of new age, classical, electronica and progressive rock, undulating soundscapes and folk.

In 2019 Richard played 5 audio visual shows based around the work Elements . The album was very much inspired by the 1980s music of Vangelis and albums such as Direct and Chariots Of Fire .
