After Growing up as an Army child in Germany he moved to an army base in Wiltshire, where he could see Stonehenge from his bedroom window and hear the music from the Summer Solstice festivals. A friend (Paul Gulliver) introduced him to the music of Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and the Human league and this started his interest in producing his own music. So, in 1985 he bought a synthesizer (a Blue Roland SH-101) and started creating his own mad electronic sounds. This eventually led on to full time producing with a room full of synthesizers, samplers and other musical toys.

In 1989 he moved from Wiltshire to Leicester and in 1993 he placed an advert in the Leicester Mercury for artists and met a band called Sub-Bass. He worked with them for a year or so and through them (via DJ MJP) he met DJ SS at his Formation Empire HQ in Leicester. He took in a few house tracks and DJ SS signed them all on the spot!
