Yarrr me hearties!!! Ahoy, and welcome aboard the wacky, watery world of Smiley Pirate Music! A smiley, psychedelic, ship on its musical maiden voyage, floating atop a sea of influences. At the helm is the Smiley Pirate himself, Hugh Walker, setting sail from the Norfolk Broads and currently docked in Bristol’s central harbour.

The sound of the ship is built from mighty oaks, with their roots deeply founded in Dub Reggae, their branches reaching towards the sonic geometries of Psychedelic Trance, and swirling, luscious, soundscapes and atmospheres blowing through their leaves. The boom of the nation’s sound systems fills its sails, as it journeys forth in the hope of bringing a sense of peace, love, and unity, to all in her wake.

So, with all that said and done, grab yer grog, and with a shanty or two in your hearts, weigh the anchor, hoist the colours, heave-ho, and all-hands-on-deck as we set sail on another Smiley adventure. Lest ye be a landlubber…
