Randy Moore, a native Texan and Nashville based recording artist who creates a country sound borne out of the Texas music scene and crafted in the creative corners of Music Row. Randy draws upon influences from his heroes Jerry Jeff Walker, Don Williams, Guy Clark, Tom Petty, and Willie Nelson. Randy’s music career began working as an underage guest singer with KNUZ Radio Personality Arch Yancey at Gilley’s Nightclub and playing dance halls and night spots in the Houston area. He gravitated toward Music City in the 1980’s in order learn the record business from Belmont College to Division Street and beyond. Along his journey, Randy Moore wrote songs with Carl Perkins, recorded with Norbert Putnam, mentored with Harold Bradley and in the process discovered who Randy Moore the music artist is. Now comes, “HWY 59” by Randy Moore, his first independent release. The album is Randy’s very personal and artistic statement, with songs about home “Goin’ Back to Texas” and “Highway 59 Revisited”
