From humble beginnings in small town U.S.A, Dan has lived a very charmed life for the grandson of a sugar beet farmer. Born in 1971 in Greeley, Colorado. Dan quickly realized how quickly the world around him can change. Playing a variety of sports as a child from Football to Soccer Dan had an early love for athletics and sports. As he grew in stature so did his legend, from the fledgling days of skateboarding and BMX he set out to master all the challenges life had to offer.
After staying in the greater L.A. area for close to 10 years he moved back to the Denver metro area and became a caller to local sports talk radio shows. After he attended a book signing for a nationally syndicated radio host he was told by a man who is on 280 stations and Armed Forces radio that he had the chops to be in the business and that whatever he was doing with himself he was wasting his time. he enrolled at Colorado Media School the next day.
