I was a teen into my 20's in the 80's, I hung out with a lot of local Dj's in the Phoenix metro area of Arizona... My best friend was a local Dj name ROMIX, He and I were part of the NYC record pool in the 80's... It was so nice to get music at least 4 months before it came out on the radio... House music, dance now BPM, Freestyle music, Electric Funk, High energy Disco was our get... I was a big fan of the originators edit master's "The Latin Rascals"... I know they weren't the 1st mix master's but the crisp edits by slicing tape incredible also hearing radio show from Denmark "Ken Schumacher" introduced Dj's from around the world submitted their reels to be aired the different mixing styles and edits were incredible {please look him up} ... The middle 90's when I 1st heard of the Chicago mixers WOW, Reminded of the good ole days.. I'm glad this platform is here to bring old and new talent into the future...
