Radio Free Berlin School

Radio Free Berlin School plays the Berlin School of electronic music: the hypnotic, sequencer-driven sound born in West Berlin’s underground at the turn of the 1970s with Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Ash Ra Tempel, and carried ever since by the revival scenes of the Netherlands, Britain and beyond and by the artists making it today.

Each set is a long-form journey that moves freely between the eras: classic 1970s tracks next to the sequencer masters of the 1980s and 90s and new music from today’s scene, mixed for deep listening. Kosmische Nights and Tangerine Dreams is our series for slow-burning late-night sets.

Every show comes with a full tracklist, so you can follow the music back to the artists who made it. Turn the lights down, turn the volume up, and drift.
