Since 1990, Qixoni has been experimenting with electronic music as a part of a variety of groups and under different aliases--most notably as JMM or Justin Mathew Mooney.
From an early age and throughout Qixoni's upbringing he was surrounded by various forms of electronic music. Pre Teenage years were spent listening to Thomas Dolby, David Sylvain, Public Image Limited and Ryuichi Sakamoto. The 90s consisted of a solid intake of Experimental/Dance/Rock Industrial. Bands like Godflesh, Penal Colony, Numb, Grotus, The Young Gods and Diatribe, KDC, BOL, Apolitiq, and Non-Aggression Pact really paved the way for his approach songwriting. The last decade + has been a steady dose of non stop hard experimental and dark electronic. Pertaining to all things Breakcore, Jungle, Drum and Bass, witchouse, retro synth, Noise, dark/harsh dubstep and IDM'esq styled Industrial. Qixoni's other musical projects include Helium Ointment, Deceptik, Bicoastal Disorder, Oh By The Way, among others.
