It's a widely accepted fact these days that some of the best electronic music slingers of our time have evolved from a “foreign” genre known as Metal. We can cite examples such as Rainman of Krewella, Blackburner, Crizzly and Big Chocolate; all artists who have changed the face of electronic music for the better. Alex Castro, affectionately known as Precept, is no different. Taking Southern California by the unmentionables, this mysterious character – always dredged in black – boasts residencies at the most regarded venues in California including Avalon, Dim Mak Studios and The Yost Theater. In 2013, Precept graced the grounds of EDC, performing an impromptu set that stole the show. The next morning, he was the talk of the Twittersphere. Despite that and working with artists such as Nero, it doesn’t go to his head as one might think.
