Filippos Peristeris was born in Athens. He studied piano, accordion and organ and he also holds diplomas in harmony, counterpoint, fugue, composition and music composition for film and theatre. He studied cultural sciences (Hellenic Open University), he is a master student in architecture (National Technical University of Athens) is today a Dr. of N.T.U.A in philosophy (aesthetics). He has composed symphonic music for small and large orchestral ensembles and for more than 50 theatre performances, films and more than 100 recorded songs. He has been awarded four national prizes for film composing and one more in VAASA 2012 International film festival. He is also a radio producer.
