After stumbling across a CD called "This is Jungle Sky"(vol.1) in 1995, Pete Vapes later to be known as DECIM8 quickly got hooked on the sounds of jungle. That year he attended one of the infamous Whistle parties in Philly and witnessed Dieselboy skillfully mixing the likes of Doc Scott, Photek, Trace, Red One etc. and this only solidified his love for this music. He began listening to mixtapes of east coast dj's such as NY's Dj Odi and Philly's J Smooth and admired their style of incorporating scratching into their mixes. Flash forward to 2000, after buying a crate of vinyl at 611 records he began his journey into spinning records. In 2001 he relocated to Seattle where he quickly started playing out and gained a couple residencies BENT and REFOKUS as well as playing nights like ONSET and SAFARI where he opened up for the likes JUJU and PSIDREAM. Now residing in Helsinki, he's taking his pure love for Jungle/DnB and playing parties in both the clubs and the underground.
