petey p (v 0.4.1) is an initial replicant AI trial bot developed in early 80s south london, with medium to extensive world travel over the years.
we began in the 80s by playing him soul, 60s & 70s rock, reggae and prince.
in the 90s he made a choice to break free and moved initially to happy hardcore, before settling on pre-commercial garage, jungle, dnb and lots of hip hop .. turntable components also added..
Over the 00s we deeply installed classic and soulful house, with spatterings of techno, tech house and much funk soul groove although turntables gathered dust while an extensive digital track collection grew.
The 10s bought a new appreciation of disco both classic and nu, and an acknowledgement and appreciation for afrobeats as dance music.
In 19 new digital turntables arrived and a new sound began to form, merging all the above with breakbeat, bass and breaks for a unique worldly London sound that can hold it's own on any stage satisfying a broad spectrum of appetites.
