Paul mixed tunes of an eclectic nature since 1993 . Horrifed by the independent scene being assimilated in the early '90's, electronic music started piercing his head. Whilst living in Yorkshire an oppurtunity arose for a live chill out beats n' breaks debut (thanks to DJ Mowgli) at D.O.P.E presents LTJ Bukem's Logical Progression, Sheffield Arches. This lead to more gigs and eventually a relocation to London, where a wonky leftfield slant made rumblings and bleeps at Ministry of Sound, Turnmills (ending in 7 year residency with VJ/AV outfit Reality Check) and one off events. That said, his most memorable DJ slots are well away from clubland - Giro's, Belfast Ireland, 1994 and Dragon Festival, Los Ciggy, Spain 2005.

Along with other half, funkcutter, the pair set up ex gratia recordings in 2008, sporadically releasing whatever they feel like when they can afford it. RIP Paul Blackwood 2020
