Starting with his dad's vinyl collection of 80s classics, Mr Keks played at a few small venues alongside DJ Chug before making the move up north in 2005 to further his career. He successfully held down residences at a number of venues across Manchester including The Baby Grand, Bedlam, The Cotton House, and Revolution Deansgate.

As Mr Keks's reputation grew it opened up opportunities outside of Manchester, mainly working with Sheffield Parties; there was a Friday residency at Embrace, and Saturday residency at Crystal. In addition to this, Mr Keks also played the student night on Monday at Gatecrasher Leeds.

Mr Keks moved back to London in 2008, and since then has played a number of private functions. In the last year he has been a resident of Elements at The Castle in Aldgate, alongside DJ Chug and Halcyon.
