Denton Monsoon Bedward, formerly known as Screechie Ranks, is a native of Northern Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies. He showed signs of his musical ability while attending primary school. In his community, he was known as “The Juke Box,” because he was able to perform to the songs that were being played in Jamaica at that time. His natural ability to rap spontaneously on beats had him entering and winning many community clashes and talent concerts.
After relocating to Kingston, Monsoon had the opportunity to join forces with B&L Promotions. He became stable mate with the likes of Johnny P, Singing Melody and Maka Diamond, known then as Lady Mackerel. Seizing this opportunity, Monsoon honed his vocal skills and mastered his stagecraft becoming a complete artiste.
Monsoon then migrated to the USA. He became a front line member of the award winning DKGB Reggae Band. Then, he formed S.T.O.R.M(Strong Talented Organized Real Musicians)Reggae Band. STORM & Monsoon, won various awards. Am
