This week we want to give you an update on what we’ve been working on here at Mixcloud HQ. Our goal is to share a product updates newsletter every month so you know what's new and what’s coming up.
This is also a platform for you to tell us what features you’d like to see on Mixcloud. Though we can’t promise that we can address everything, we’d still love to collaborate with you!
So without further ado, here’s what’s been cooking...
New feature releases:
• Mixcloud Live studio
You can now go live directly from your web browser without any third-party software (e.g. OBS.) If you’re new to live-streaming this is a great place to start! Watch our step-by-step video tutorial on how to use the feature: https://bit.ly/2Vsk0lO
• Background playback on iOS & Android
As part of our ongoing upgrades to the Mixcloud mobile apps, you can now continue watching live streams in the background while navigating through your phone.
• Annual Pro Plans
Back by popular demand, 12-month Pro subscriptions are now available so you can now upgrade annually with a 25% discount on the standard monthly plan.

• Mixcloud Posts
Alongside upgrading the look & usability of this feature (including the new ability to share Posts on mobile), it’s also now available to all Pro users.
Upcoming releases:
• Chromecast
You asked, we listened! We’ve been working on Chromecast integration which will allow you to cast a live stream from your phone onto a bigger screen. Watch this space.

So so so frustrating that Mixcloud STILL doesn't have a stand alone Apple Watch app. Come on guys!

Has anyone that uses the stream in browser option found a way to record the video and audio to upload to other social platforms?
Can anyone answer me why the reactions and the comments in the chat are separated ?
Isn't a reaction a comment? or emojis don't express themselves anymore! 😯🤔

I have to agree 'Radio Trance Passion'
Mixcloud app on android is oe of the most annoing app ! After link from the facebook it not directing You to the mix. Finding Your own live stream is so hard. I got to delete it from the phone cause it is just not working.
Fix chat it’s rubbish, its poor, need new emojis.
Also add a merchandising store, long overdue.
Please fix bugs in being able to see who it watching live. I know this isn’t working as have a mate who’s logged in and watching on the app on android but they don’t show up as a watcher when looking at who’s watching even though they are logged in.

Update your Apple TV app for show live streams
Mixcloud is the biggest Rippoff platform and their support stinks.PLEASEEEE dont ask me what the problem is cause i am done explaining my problem to 40 agents and nothing is being sorted and i am the one paying every month.No more!!!!!

We're continuing to update our mobile apps with features to help creators so watch our for future updates that may help with these two requests.
With the ability to stream directly from the browser without 3rd party support, will something like "raiding" from twitch make an appearance on mixcloud live somewhere down the line?
Basically the ability to join someone else's stream with your audience in tow when your stream ends.
This would be an amazing addition.
We're looking at a variety of features to add to Live in the future so watch for more updates coming along. Will add your request to the mix for future consideration.
Howbout giving us a 'Disco-Like' jumping LED lit player the one now is very bland...

As we're a digital streaming service we don't currently provide support via phone. However our Support Team are happy to respond if you email them (support@mixcloud.com) or send in a request (https://help.mixcloud.com/hc/en-us/requests/new)
Definitely a better integration with Instagram stories. When you share something from Spotify or SoundCloud on Instagram stories, people can directly go to that song/mix. It would be great if you could implement it in that way too. Thanks!

I would like a better integration with Facebook post and story
I sometimes have to wait a few minutes before I can start marking the uploaded sound file.
Also when scrolling up and down in the tracklist it can move the markers in the displayed wave-timeline thingy at the top. Using Firefox.
The team are currently looking into the bug you're experiencing with tracklisting so it should be fixed soon.
Note that there is some processing of the file that needs to happen once the show has uploaded, which is why it takes a few minutes sometimes for you to be able to start adding the tracklist
Am I missing something? I'm currently paying the £9 a month Pro subscription. How do I switch to the yearly payment? Do I have to cancel my current subscription and then re-subscribe at the yearly rate? Or is it just not available yet?
Yes currently you'll need to cancel your monthly subscription to Pro and then re-subscribe via the Annual Pro option on mixcloud.com/plans.

You aim to please 👍🏿 great news especially the update about live streaming from the browser 😁 we are new to Mixcloud live and struggling to get it up and running... do we need to use an external camera or can we use the laptop built-in camera? Thank you for your updates🤗
You can use your laptop's camera to stream on Mixcloud Live. However you may find an external camera gives you a better quality broadcast.
