Even as a child DJ DOC MIKE had a deep love of music. As a teenager his passion turned from jam boxes to turntables.
His first break into the music business came in 2002 when he was hired on as resident DJ at club AFTER DARK in Albemarle, NC where he worked for two years.
In 2004, he started work as manager at SOUTH BEACH PALAMINO in Charlotte, NC where he worked for two years.
In 2007 DJ DOC MIKE moved with his family to Lumberton, NC where he continued work as a freelance DJ. It was there in 2009, with the help of his friend Chad Bellamy, that he started Self Xpressions Audio and Design Studio out of his home.
