I have lived 6 Professional Lifetimes so far: 1) as a music minister for the Catholic Church, 2) as a Ph.D. Candidate in the Dept. of Materials Science & Engineering @ Stanford University. 3) as a Research Scientist funded by the U.S. Dept. of Energy. 4) as an Associate Professor of Engineering Mechanics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. 5) as the President of my own Company; Resch Engineering, Inc. 6) as a Nationally Recognized & Daubert Qualified Expert Witness in Medical Product Liability Litigation of failed implantable medical devices testifying for the Plaintiff in State and Federal Courts across the United States. My experiences include 81 Depositions and 14 Trials over 25 years. I have personally examined over 3500 failed devices and have produced Videotaped Failure Analysis Reports and Expert Opinions regarding Design Defects in each case that were responsible for the failures.
