Born in Kingston, Jamaica, DJ Mikki D, AKA Michael Hines, started his musical journey when he was 14. He discovered the art of dj-ing from older neighborhood friends. It was then that he knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'. Years later DJ Mikki D officially emerged as a member of Black Lightening Disco and played house parties and events. Shortly after he Migrated to the USA. In Florida DJ Mikki D played house parties, events and night clubs such as Club Classics, Heart of the City, Resident DJ at Krystals Night Club, and In New York Resident DJ at the Elegant Palace Night Club, Bronx. During the mixtape frenzy DJ Mikki D released mixtapes including the Dancehall Riddimatic series, Female Fiya and his critically acclaimed Klassic Klub Killaz. DJ Mikki D left the DJ scene to pursue other aspirations. Michael Hines is now a front-end web developer but music is never far behind.
